In 2021, we started chatting with founder of Maven Coffee, Megan, who wanted to create a new coffee brand that would speak to her unique owner/operator café clients. Hitting cafes across the country, in less well known areas and off the beaten track, she wanted to create something that was relaxed, fun and unpretentiously kiwi. The name workshopping process landed us on Riley, as in the ‘The life of Riley’. Megan felt this best captured the brand’s goal of helping people enjoy life’s small moments through a good cup of coffee.
The blend packaging was built with sustainability and print cost efficiencies in mind, by creating a universal bag that was differentiated with over stickers for each blend, we lessened the need for expensive and wasteful print runs. Illustrated wave detail on the side gusset represents the brand’s ‘Go with the flow’ vibe.
